Jackson Gallagher is an undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He is pursuing a BFA in Theatrical Design with an expected graduation of May 2014. He is a recent graduate of Centerville High School in Centerville, Ohio. Jackson has been involved in some form of technical theatre since 2002 where he began performing as early as 1994. As of Summer 2010 Jackson has worked on over 60 Shows. He worked on his first full-length shows at Town Hall Theatre and has worked with an array of talented designers and technicians over his many years there. He began lighting design in 2008 at Centerville High School with the production of Rumors, since then he has designed lighting for over 16 theatrical productions, 7 dance concerts and countless musical concerts and other events. While being very passionate about Lighting Design he is well rounded with experience in almost every single element of theatre. He was very active in the International Thespian Society in the later years of High School. He received the State Thespian Scholarship and was 1 or 8 recipients of a scholarship at the International Thespian Festival out of 180 applicants.
